# Memory overview

> Learn how TLDT stores, reviews, and publishes the context behind your profile.

Memory is the source of what your TLDT can say about your career. It is not a hidden personality prompt and it is not a place for the assistant to guess. You decide what enters the workspace and what becomes public.

## The Memory workspace

Open **Memory** from the owner sidebar. The workspace contains two columns on a large screen and a tabbed view on a smaller screen:

* **Raw** keeps owner-supplied evidence byte-for-byte.
* **Derived** keeps concise, operational summaries linked to Raw evidence.
* **Properties** describe how a document should be found and whether it is eligible for publication.
* **Drafts** let you work on separate versions without changing the live profile.
* **Versions** show immutable publications and let you activate an approved version.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Raw Memory" icon="file-text">Use it for CVs, notes, transcripts, project records, dates, metrics, and original wording.</Card>
  <Card title="Derived Memory" icon="layers">Use it for topic summaries, role context, recruiter-ready explanations, and special role documents.</Card>
</CardGroup>

## Special roles

Properties can assign a Public document one special role. Each draft can have at most one Public holder for each role:

| Role       | Purpose                                                                               |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| CV | The public career summary shown in the Public CV panel and used as screening context. |
| Soul | How TLDT should represent your identity and stance. |
| Boundaries | Topics, commitments, and disclosure limits that need care. |
| Voice | Grounded speaking style and representative language. |

The role comes from Properties, not from a filename. A role document is still subject to the same Public/Private and sensitivity review.

<Tip>Keep Soul, Boundaries, and Voice separate from career evidence. They guide representation; they do not become proof of work history.</Tip>

## A good document

Include the details that make a claim checkable: who acted, what happened, when it happened, the scope of your responsibility, the metric or denominator, and the source. Keep limitations and uncertainty instead of smoothing them away.
